Welcome back guyz, sorry today's post is coming a bit late. i just had to give u guyz the juiciest of gossips. HUAWEI is a brand that has seriously being bursting my brain for a while now. They are the new emerging giant to watch out for in the mobile phone industry and in a few minutes you would have an idea why they are that good. Huawei surprised us with their various brands this year and they are back and maybe better this year. Huawei could put many devices on the market in 2015 and expanding its Ascend range. According to a roadmap whose origin is not proven, it could discover Ascend P8, D8, Mate 8, and a few terminals for the entry and mid-range.

UPGRADING YOUR SAMSUNG S4 MINI TO KITKAT

RUMOR HAS IT: HTC ONE M9

It's nerdy_subie once again and welcome back to another Rumour Has It Segment. I am gonna cut to the chase on this one. We all loved and still love the HTC One M8: a splendid smartphone with great and stylish build. I am not just saying this cuz am blogging, I actually used one. And now we are getting excited about the next great thing. We know almost nothing about the HTC One M9, while we don't know anything for sure about the HTC One M9 (other than the fact that it's coming), a number of leaks and rumors are starting to come through and it's starting to look like it would be similar to HTC One M8 Prime. HTC’s One (M8) will soon be 1-year old, which means a successor to it is just around the corner. While we were expecting this successor to be called One (M9), recent reports suggest that HTC plans to opt for a different naming scheme. The upcoming smartphone is reportedly codenamed HTC Hima, and should offer plenty of high-end features to buyers of all sort of prefences.

RUMOR HAS IT: SAMSUNG GALAXY S6

Hey, guyz its nerdy_subie, and welcome to the first rumor has it segment of the blog. We are going to be talking about Samsung Galaxy S6. As we all know or may have suspected which ever it might be in your case, SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 WAS KIND OF A FLOP. Samsung didn’t see the kind of response it wanted from the Galaxy S5. In fact, some reports claim its sales were 40% below expectations. The Korean company knows it needs to win back its already bored and leaving consumers, and that should make for a very interesting Galaxy S6 announcement.

Yeah, love admiring the beauty of technology, now guys, we would be taking a look at a phone that was launched just recently but has been announced long before now. Come on the advertisement and all, seeing the banners everywhere I go, I guess Huawei is on the verge of winning a lot of souls. Lol, never mind why I laughed, ok would tell you, my last statement sounded like a preacher, you know, winning souls for Christ.

INFINIX ZERO

What’s up guys, it’s your boy Pilstef and I'm glad to be hanging out with you guys again. Lol. Ok guys without too much ado, let’s dive straight into the artistic world of technology. Yeah, technology is now art since anything thought of can be brought to reality. Cool, I love the sound of that.

Guys, we would be taking a look at a very cool phone that would soon be released by Infinix this year. The Infinix flagship phone is not one of all those flagship phones that are on the high end, I mean that would dig a hole in your delicate pocket. It’s a cool and moderate phone and for the price it comes for, I guess it should be giving the top end producers some big concerns as Infinix is not allowing this phone lay low like others, the publicity and all sorts about the phone has been great like every other flagship phone out there when it is about to be released.

BBM ON WINDOWS

Hello there guys, whats up, yeah, don’t answer me with the sky. It was a rhetorical question. Guess you are all doing great. If so, let’s kick off with today’s issue and if not, just sit back and read through. Almost doing the same thing I guess.

At last, I guess that’s the appropriate word to use, after so much long wait, the Blackberry Messenger finally arrives on Windows 8 platform

WP users would be delighted to hear that the service is landing considering the fact that iOS and Android users have had their hands on it for almost a year.

“We are intent on bringing the most popular application experiences to Windows Phone and with BBM, we are pleased to bring many of its top features to the Windows Phone platform, “says Bryan Biniak, Vice President and General Manager, Developer Experience, Microsoft.

“BBM on Windows Phone brings our customers the secure, easy to use messaging experience they demand, and we expect that new features will roll out in the months to come.”

According to BB, the messenger service boasts an impressive 85 million monthly active users, and touts 50 person group chat, schedule sharing, and signature read and delivered notifications.

Blackberry first announced that its messenger app would be leaving the nest and joining iOS and Android back In May last year. It landed on iOS in September and on Android a month later

We first heard rumours of BBM coming to windows phone in October 2013, when BBM creator Gary Klassen said BBM will not be limited to just Android or iOS. We are open to other platforms also.

In my own opinion, I would say they are now keeping up the pace and would be a real or they are already a real threat to Whatsapp already.

So all iOS and Android users, let’s welcome the newbies with our open arms.

To be sincere, it’s long overdue and am happy it’s out there at last. So let all WP users stand downloading.

RETURN OF FLAPPY BIRD

HELLO guys, this isn’t one of my usual device reviews. Yeah, today we would be looking at something different. It’s not really making the ground or so much of an uproar like over the 100k fans that watched the Manchester United vs Real Madrid match*winks*.

Yeah, am talking about the re-launch of flappy birds, I wrote about this early this year. Actually not about it’s re-launch, it was actually about it being pulled out of PlayStores then,  I can’t remember whether I speculated whether it was going to be re-launched. Any way, it’s back in the PlayStore but unfortunately not for all. I guess that’s why I can’t hear people talking about it yet. Yeah, it’s only available in the amazon app store for android. Very funny right.

It arrived in the Amazon App Store for Android promising compatibility with the Amazon Fire tv box, remote and dedicated controller.

This time you can get your mates involved as there’s a versus mode to enjoy, while floating ghosts will also obstruct your progress as well as those Mario-esque pipes

Developer dong Nguyen also promises this version will be a little less addictive than the original.

Nguyen, who had sleepless nights over how much time people were spending playing the game, has pledged to offer players satisfaction after a few turns rather than hours of gameplay.

But seriously, how many Amazon devices are out there, I don’t know what Nguyen is playing at but let’s hope we get it on the Android and iOS stores soonest.

INFINIX ALPHA MARVEL

Hey guys, whats new ? I guess it’s a lot right. Same down here and same in the world of technology too. A lot has happened in the tech world since my last post and have been unable to bring them to you guys because of some stuffs or circumstances, any way guys am back and we would be talking a lot in the few weeks to come.

Today we would be taking a look at a phone that has been around for almost a year. It’s the super sleek Ifinix ALPHA marvel. It’s really a cool phone and trust me, like the name states, you are gonna marvel when we are done stripping this phone. 

The Infinix marvel is like the thinnest phone have ever seen. Must confess have seen a lot and this phone is also cool while holding it and with the kind of material used in making  it, trust me, you might not want to get your hands off the phone because of it’s feel or the feeling you get when holding on to this MARVELous phone. Now guys let’s take an indepth look at the phone and let’s place my word against yours and see whether you are going to marvel a the the end of it all. Design: The Infinix ALPHA Marvel in my definition is quite a cool phone it terms of design. It’s cool to hold and super sleek. It comes in both black and white with the black being more popular of course. It comes with a screen size of about 5 inches. I don’t really know what to call what it’s made up of but it is a mixture of plastic and I guess aluminium. It has got dimensions of about 147*72.1*6.98mm. it also comes with a non removable back cover which means there is no way of accessing the battery. Still don’t know why Infinix are designing their phones that way.

Operating System: This phone comes stocked with the most popular OS which we all know is the Google Android OS, which Jelly Bean, the 4.2.1 version.

 Memory: This phone comes equipped with an internal memory size of 16GB. Yeah, that large and guess what guys, you also get the chance to expand it to any desirable size with the aid of a microSD card slot.
It comes we equipped with 1GB of RAM. So I guess we all know what that means, being able to run a lot of appliations and your phone not stressing you up while doing it .

Processor: This phone apart from it’s sleekness has also got a superb processor to cap it. It comes with 1.5GHz quad-core CPU. Yeah guys, note it is quad core, so all ye gamers and phone wreckers, I guess you’ve all seen a match for your thirst of power. Lol, don’t know where that came from.

Camera: Yeah, the camera, also what some of us really li
ke about a phone. It comes with a dual camera like every other phone, with the rear being equipped with 13.0MP of camera with flash while the front camera is about 5.0 MP. Yeah, the camera’s have got large megapixels and that’s just cool for memory keepers. It’s way too cool I guess when you consider the front camera too which is about 5. 0MP.

Battery Life: I know some of you would have been getting a little bit worried about the battery’s longetivity considering the screen size and so on . but guess what guys, the battery is not about to let us down. I’ve got my hand on the phone for some weeks now and I can tell you guys it’s literarily nothing to get all stressed up about. It comes with a battery capacity of 2500mAh Li-Ion battery. So I guess we all see what am taking about.

Price: Like it’s other major competitors down here, which are the likes of Tecno, Gionee and so on, the price of the ALPHA marvel is quite moderate for customers. It goes for about

TECNO R7

Hey guys, am back and not only me, Tecno Mobile is also back. And guess what we have in common or what they have and I don’t, they are back really bigger and better. Yeah guys, it’s the Tecno R7 we would be looking at today. I don’t really know the idea behind their namings but all the names are really cool. And guess what guys, this phone is out there to sweep you off your feet. Yeah, Tecno Mobile really stepped up the game this time around with their new phone. And it is the coolest they have released at the moment for now (not to everybody I guess but at least to me). It is really cool. Let’s take a RIDE into the world of the R7 . I guess you know why I used the word RIDE cause of the R and the R7. cool I guess. Now let’s go guys. In the sound of speed, I say “voooooooooooom”.
 
Design: The R7 is quite a big phone, yeah, sorry just remembered some people do not like that word big. Like they say, the R7 has got a perfect size, it actually falls in the category of phablets. It comes with a 5.5” size screen. It has got dimensions of about 158*78.5*8.4mm. Not so sure of the different colours this cool phone comes in. But trust me when you feel and touch this phone you might be thinking of dropping that phone you are currently making use of.

Operating System: As usual I always complain about the fact that Tecno does not stock their cool top phones with the latest Android OS. But what we’ve got here is not bad. Trust me, that is what I even have on my phone currently and am enjoying it. The R7 comes stocked with the Jelly Bean version 4.2.
 
Memory: This phone comes equipped with an internal memory size of 16GB. Yeah, that large and guess what guys, you also get the chance to expand it unlike some phones, to any desirable size with the aid of a microSD card slot.
At last Tecno is sending out a message to all competitors out there, when I mean all, I mean all and not only their local rivals such as the Infinix or Gionee. Yeah they are coming out there to rock the market. This terrific phone also comes equipped with 2GB of RAM.

Processor: Ok guys, this phone is packed with a lot of surprises. And this is one place they are not letting us down . They really did a great job here. It think they had all we multitaskers and gamers in mind this time around . This phone comes with 6 cores. Hmmmmm, I don’t know what that is called actually. And a 1.5 GHz. Yeah, it’s really cool. 


Camera: Yeah, the camera, also what some of us really like about a phone. It comes with a dual camera like every other phone, with the rear being equipped with 13.0MP of camera with flash while the front camera is about 5.0 MP. Battery Life: I think Tecno also put into consideration the screen size this time around. Like we all know, the screen tends to have a big say on our battery life. Looking at the R7, I think we would be saying a great battery life here as it comes with a battery capacity of 2430mAh. Yeah, that is really large. So for those of us who are usually scared of battery life of phone, I guess we shouldn’t develop a cold feet when considereing this particular device.

Price: As usual, Tecno make their devices really affordable to their customers. For all this mouth watering specifications, the R7 goes for about 280 dollars.

IRAN BANS WHATSAPP

Officials in Iran have blocked residents in the country from using Whatsapp, based on the fact that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who purchased the messaging app some months ago is Jewish.

According to the Head of the country’s committee on Internet Crimes, Abdolsamad Khorramabadi, the reason for this is basically because being a Zionist.

It is reported by Haaretz that the ban has caused a conflict within the government which has been tryint to implement modern social policies.

“The government is completely against the ban on Whatsapp,” Communications Minister Mahmoud Mehr told the State News Agency Irna, according to Haaretz

According to an a blogger ‘anonymous’ Whatsapp continues to work in Iran, at least for the time being.

The revolutionary guard sees these social sites as a major threat because there’s an appeal for young people and the government worries about the exchange of information. Supreme leader Khamenei and his cronies, caught on to the power and potential of these sites after the green revolution uprisings.

Actually, this is not the first time the country has blocked a service. WeChat was blocked in December and likes of Facebook, Twitter and Youtube have suffered same fate.

According to a report in Al Jazeera, several Iranian agencies control the internet, but not all of them agree on the policies.

We are yet to hear from Facebook.
