We had a look at the at the Tecno Mobility flagship phone some time ago, which is Tecno Phantom, guess what guys? The cool smartphone has gotten what I call an elder brother from same parents, funny right? They released an upgrade to their flagship phone so I guess we have a new flagship phone. Its name is the Tecno Phantom A+. Yeah A+, guess you know what that means, if you do not know, let me make it easier, it means additional features and better functionality, that is all what it means. Like we always do, let’s rip the phone into pieces together.

Design: It looks more like the F7, yeah F7, for those of you who do not know that the Tecno Phantom is also known as the F7, am telling you now. Though the Phantom A+ is much bigger, it possesses the same screen size which is 5.0 inches. It has all the physical features of its predecessor, rectangular design with a dimension of 143.5*70.8*9.1mm. And it comes in both white and black.

Operating System: Since it is A+ it comes with an upgraded operating system which is 4.2 also known as Jelly Bean. So you would be equipped with the latest operating system and all those features you love working with and all those applications.

Memory: Not all things about the Phantom A+ is upgraded. It still comes with an internal memory of about 4GB and also has an extendable external memory slot which is up to 32GB. That’s quite cool, for those of us who eat up space, this I guess is just enough.

It also comes with 1 GB of RAM

Processor: This is one place where the Phantom A+ stands out compared to the Phantom. It comes with 1.2 GHz Quad core. And those problems of your phone hanging and all sorts are really not going to be noticeable here. Cool, all those games and other stuffs we love doing are going to be smooth while we take on them.

Battery Life: It comes with a 2100mAh Li-Ion battery, nice you would say. Yeah, its battery last up 300 hours on standby while it lasts for just 10 hours on talk time. On full usage, its battery lasts about 6 hours but guess what, you do not need to get yourself all stressed out about the battery strength because it comes with a mobile charger in its box. So anywhere you go, you can always charge your phone.

Camera: The Phantom A+ comes with dual cameras. Too much of grammar, speak English, some would say. It’s what all phones being produced now have, both front and back camera. It’s back camera is HD 8.0 MP camera with LED flashlight for taking cool pictures. While it’s front camera is 1.2 MP also very cool for all your video chats and all sorts.

Hi guys, as I promised in my last review, we would be looking at a different phone today. Yeah, we would be taking a look at the Infinix Alpha. Some of us were flabbergasted when we saw people using infinix phones around us, that’s right, it sprung out from practically nowhere but it’s been around for a while now and they are making really nice phones. Guess most of you or some of you remember the Sagem phones back them, I can remember my old man using Sagem myX-7 and the suddenly the phones disappeared into thin air with no trace. Yeah, they are back bigger and better, though this time around they come as Mobiwire and they are in conjunction with Earning ways and out of the collaboration was Infinx Mobility founded in January 2012 in Hong Kong. Guess who their major competitor is? It’s Tecno mobile. How sweet, two companies trying to gain back the heart of their fans or let me say loved ones. Enough of the story let’s take a look at the Infinix Alpha phablet.

The Infinix Alpha is a great phablet, yeah I used the word phablet because of it screen size, it comes with a screen size of 5.7 inches. It also runs on the Android operating system and it’s quite a fast phone with a great design. Let’s take a look at this cool phablet.

Design: Infinix Alpha comes with a stunning 5.7 inch capacitive touch display which makes it fall in the category of phablet (combination of the 2 words phone and tablet). And guess what its screen comes with the Corning Gorilla glass 2, so don’t be so scared about you damaging the screen of your phablet easily. It’s dimension is about 161*82.5*9.3mm. And it comes in white, so it fits all styles.

Operating System: The Infinix Alpha (X570) runs on the Android operating system version 4.2.1 which is popularly known as Jelly Bean and on which most top smartphones run on except for the windows phones.

Memory: X570 comes with an internal whooping memory of 16GB, yeah, guess you can close your mouth now. That is quite much or probably enough for those of us that use up a lot of space on our phones. It also runs of 1GB of RAM

Processor: It comes with Cotex A7 1.2 GHz quad core processor, yeah, your eyes are not deceiving you, 1.2GHz, that is what you saw. That is way cool. So I guess you would be really having great speed and no problem with those great games you love playing.

Battery Life: It comes with a 2600mAh Li-Ion battery, kind of bad some of you would say because of it screen size, so you are expecting something more, but guess what it runs on a chipset which reduces the rate of consumption of its screen so don’t be scared because it has a long lasting battery. But to be sincere I do not really have much faith in its battery life.

Camera: Have decided to add the camera specification to my description box. Nice, I guess.

The Infinix Alpha comes with both back and front facing camera like every other smartphone but the nice thing about its camera is that its back camera is 12 megapixel with video recording capacity of 1080p HD Video and also has the popular LED flash, Autofocus, Geo-tagging and BSI Sensor for good low light capture. That is not all, its front facing camera is 5MP, really nice, and it would be superb for video calling

Hi guys, just observed there are a lot of Tecno Mobile phones out there. That’s really cool and we’ve done quite a number of reviews on them, I would be going on to write reviews on other phones, and I would really appreciate it, if you drop your comments and suggestions on which phone you want me to write my next review on.

Today guys, we would be looking at the Tecno Q1. One of the coolest Tecno mobile phone out there. And for those of us that like the QWERTY pad phones, this is one really cool phone for us and guess what, it is one of the few phones that run on the Android operating system and also is a QWERTY pad phone. Guess you know what I mean, because most phones running on the Android operating system are touch screen phones and that does not mean that this particular phone is not touch screen but it’s a combination of both touch and the QWERTY pad design. Q1 was released in March 2013. So let’s take a ride round the world of Tecno Q1.

Design: Q1 comes with a 2.6 inch screen but don’t be scared because I know you would be thinking it comes with a very small screen but need for worry because it comes with a QWERTY pad. So for those of you who really love the QWERTY pad this is one great phone for you. It has dimensions of about 68*114.5*11.8mm and also comes in either black or white. It’s your choice.

Operating System: The Q1 runs on the Android operating system. It runs on version 4.0 which is Ice cream Sandwich. Though this is not the latest operating system but guess what? It’s one of the best, just the 4.1, 4.2, and latest 4.3 version are better.

Memory: Q1 comes with an internal memory of 512mb, oh no, that is really small, yeah, I agree with you, its really small and for those of us that use up a lot of space on the phone, you do not need to panic much because it has an external memory card slot whi9ch supports up to 32GB of external memory.

It also comes with a 512 MB RAM

Processor: It  comes with a 1 Ghz dual core processor, that is kind of superb considering the price of this phone

Battery Life: It comes with a 1450mAh Li-Ion battery, nice you would say. Yeah, its battery last up to 120 hours on standby while it lasts for just 3.5 hours on talk time.

Whats up guys, its been quite a long time. Today we would be taking a look at the Tecno N7. This phone has been around for quite some while, say beginning of 2013. It’s a great phone and one of the Tecno Mobile dual phones and also in what I call the “N series”. So before you go out there to get this phone, I would like you take out some time and check out this article. So let’s look at what makes the Tecno N7 a cool phone.

Design: N7 like its mostly called comes in a rounded rectangular form. It has a dimension of  148*79*10.3mm , quite big, guess that is what you are going to be saying but with a 5.0 inch screen, I think that is just perfect. It comes in white and black colours, so you have a couple of colours to choose from so as to fit your style. That’s quite nice. Wait till you see the rest.

Operating System: N7 runs on the Android operating system like every other Tecno Mobile phones. Its version is the Android 4.0 which is popularly known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Its just below the Jellybean’s version so don’t be scared of using a stale operating system cause this particular mobile phone is not.

Memory: Guess what? This cool phone comes with an internal storage memory of 4GB, and for those of us that make great use of memory space, no need to worry, it has an external storage memory space for memory stick which can contain up to 32GB of space.

It comes with a 512 mb of RAM. Not so cool, I guess that’s what you are going to say. I would agree with you on this compared to other products from other companies, this is quite low, but for the price it comes with, I do not think this is bad in any way.

Processor: N7 comes with a 1 Ghz dual core processor, so if you are scared of your phone hanging, I guess this is taken care of is some way.

Battery Life: It comes with a 2300mAh Li-Ion battery (BL-4M). Its battery last up to 5 hours on talktime and up to 180 hours on standby.

Hi guys, let’s take a look at the new TECNO PHANTOM which was launched, though it’s been around for a while, it’s their latest phone and have decided that we take a look at the high end phone from Tecno Mobile. In a bid to gain back the faith of the mobile phone market, TECNO PHANTOM was launched in June this year, for people who love using the high end phones, this is a high end phone, and as usual, the tecno phone comes at a very affordable price which makes it possible for the low earners to get a high end phone. Isn’t that cool, I think so. As usual Tecno Mobile offers you the opportunity to use a dual sim with its phone.

Design: The Phantom has a great body design, it comes in the form of a slim and elegant rectangular design, it also features slightly rounded corners. It comes in a white form. Really cool I guess? It also comes with a 5.0 inch IPS touchscreen with haptic feedback and a thin bezel. It comes in both white and black.

Operating System: Instead of using my usual trademark or let me say word ‘features’, have decided to use a more explicit word instead of the latter which I do not really talk about.

The TECNO PHANTOM runs on the operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. That is one of the best and most recent operating system around, just recently the 4.3 version was released but no need to worry, cause am sure it is going to be upgradeable to either the 4.2 or 4.3 version

Memory: Phantom A comes with an internal memory of about 4GB that’s quite cool I guess but not so cool for an high end phone, yeah I agree with you, but it has an extendable external memory slot which is up to 32GB and guess what it comes with a free 8GB microSD card which is provided in the box.

It comes with a 1 GB RAM

Processor: The Phantom comes with a 1 Ghz dual core processor, for a high end phone, this is quite low but it runs on Snapdragon S4 processor, guess you might know what that means or not, the snapdragon processor comes with Adreno, though am not sure which version of Adreno this phone came with yet, it makes your phone superb while using it to play most of this high graphics games like GTA4, Asphalt and so on.

Battery Life: It comes with a 2100mAh Li-Ion battery, nice you would say. Yeah, its battery last up to 16 days, 16 hours on standby while it lasts for just 6 hours on talk time.

In this review we are going to be looking at the Tecno P3, another of one of the series of the new Tecno phones that run on the Android operating system.

The Tecno P3 was released late April this year in association with the network provider Etisalat Nigeria in Nigeria.

Like I stated in my first article on Tecno phones which was really a long time ago, we would take a look at the specifications of this phone P3 just like we did for the D3.

Design: The Tecno P3 has a great body design, for those of you with a lot of style, the Tecno P3 has got it. It has a small curvy like structure which makes it fun while operating. A lot of people say that it is an improvement of the Tecno N3, because they look much alike and you can hardly distinguish between them.

It comes with a removable cover. I know you would be wondering why I mentioned this because almost all phones have removable back cover, but the Tecno P3 is different. Its back cover determines it colour. Wow! I guess that is what you are going to say. And I agree with you. Whatever colour of the phone you want, you have the option of customizing your phone to either white, yellow and black.

Features: Tecno P3 comes with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system. Old, I guess that is what most of you are going to say but really, its really nice, you can compare it to some phones like the Samsung Galaxy Gio, it is also a recent phone that also comes with this same operating system.

Memory: It comes with an internal memory of 512Mb, really small I guess that is what you are going to say but guess what it has a memory card slot which supports up to 32Gb of memory card

Guess what, it comes with a RAM of 512MB, that’s really nice for the Tecno P3. Yes, the problem is just it internal memory storage for those of you that use up a lot of space for applications, pictures and so on. Apart from that, its internal memory is nice.

Processor:  It comes with 800MHz duo core processor. So if you are scared of you phone hanging while using it, I guess this has been taking care of

Network and Connectivity: The Tecno P3 supports both 2G and 3G network(3G or 2G for first sim slot only while the other sim slot is just 2G), that means you would virtually have no problem with surfing the internet and not just that, also at a very great speed. It has also a very strong WIFI connectivity. Which means that either way you wish to use the internet, you are on a really fun side.
Like all other Tecno phones, this phone also possess a dual sim slot.

Battery life: with a 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery, it lasts up to 3.5hrs when on heavy use, 6 hours on music play and  on Standby  up to 150hrs. Really bad, I guess that is what you are going to say.

Since the emergence of the android operating system some years back, the world smartphone market has taking a new dimension. One major factor of this was the fact that the android operating was made a free operating system. This has created a platform for most applications and game developers to develop applications and games for the new operating system. Android over the years has become the world most used operating system, beating the likes of Java, Symbian and Windows operating systems.

Since 2008, that Tecno has taken it upon itself to make the African market its major focus and most especially Nigeria. This has also made the likes of Tecno which is majored on producing cheap phones to meet the part of the labor market which are not ready to spend so much on buying phones the privilege to develop smartphones which are competing with most of the world leading phones such has the Samsung S3. My subsequent reviews are going to be on Tecno smartphones starting from Tecno D3.

 

In this article, I shall provide a detailed review and specification of Tecno D3 which is part of Tecno mobile Android series, and all that a prospective buyer and user must know about the smart phone.

Some few months have passed since the first announcement of Tecno D3 but we found out that the phone still make news among mobile users across Nigeria, China and the rest of the third world market. I shall proceed to let you know more than the basics things you must know about the Tecno D3 Android phone.

Design: The Tecno D3 is solidly built with a design similar to the Tecno n3 and Tecno T3 (Java). The rounded rectangular design will of course invite the prospective buyer to want to explore the device.

The weight of the phone is impressive; it’s not light and not too heavy. With such a weight (slightly heavier than the n3), ironically one would readily expect Tecno D3 to be packed with great features. It will be fair to state this early that Tecno D3.

Features: Tecno n3 is loaded with an Android OS! A high mark for that - phone comes with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread., though you might think this is an old operating system, but for that price, I think it is great.

Memory: 160MB internal memory. That is not really much for those of us that use a lot of space but for that amount it is quite reasonable.

The RAM of Tecno D3 is not bad at all. I mean the RAM is excellent for the device. 512MB RAM is OK, isn’t it? The end user RAM is just about 428Mb. The main problem is the internal memory.

Processor:  It has a mouth watering 1ghz duo core processor.

Connectivity:! What else should I say of an Android device called Tecno D3 that cannot boast of at least a 3G connection when other devices are talking of 4G?! You will certainly not thinking of streaming live videos or watching a steady YouTube video with this device.

Battery life: The 1450mAH battery isn’t a great idea. In reality, the phone will last up to 16 hours when mostly idle but only about 6 hours when in heavy usage. This is not good! For those I know using the phone, they charge it a lot and some have mobile chargers, probably its because they run a lot of applications on it.

Many other things can be said of Tecno D3 but I leave you to study the full specifications yourself.
