ANDROID ONE LAUNCHES IN AFRICA

AndroidOne launched in Nigeria a few days back in partnership with Infinix, MTN and Jumia. Inifinix being the OEM, Jumia being the online market to get your device and MTN to better your experience with the device, you couldn’t have asked for more. Making it’s first stop in Africa right here in Nigeria, it is targeted at the developing world and new smartphone users, considering the growth in the number of smartphones sold yearly, with Android owning about 80% of the market.

Design: With a 5.0’’ HD screen, being made of plastic, and fitting into one’s hand, this device makes a statement anywhere you go. Another great thing about the device is that it has all of physical buttons on the right side of the phone, making it easier to operate.

Operating System: It is the first Infinix phone that would be getting the new Android update. Apart from that, it currently runs on Android 5.1.1, the latest OS in town, unlike many other smartphones around which still run on KitKat. With this device in your palm, you get the best of Android most especially the latest software which assures you of more security, better user experience considering the material design, it is awesome.

Another great reason to choose this device is the fact that, with it running on Lollipop, your applications basically start faster. Pitching it against a game I have on my phone, it came out top.

Remember making phone calls on your KitKat devices and having to wait a few seconds for the screen to come up. Yes you do, guess what, that has been taken care of with the introduction of the Lollipop and you get to enjoy this on the AndroidOne device. This really shows you the speed at which commands are ran on the AndroidOne device.

Memory: It comes equipped with 16GB internal memory. Having just the basic Google apps and about 5 additional pre-installed applications and tweaking to the device User Interface, you get to have a whole lot of space to stock in your pictures, videos, application and other files.

It’s a matter of choice when it comes to the RAM size. HOT2 comes in two versions, the one equipped with 1GB of RAM and the other with 2GB of RAM. So it depends on how much task you use your phones for. Whichever one you choose would serve you as it runs smoothly while running applications on it.

Processor: With a promise of top end specifications in the AndroidOne, the processor is another aspect of the HOT device to reckon with. Boasting of a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, powered by Mediatek. You get to multitask with ease and also game with ease.

Have just played a few high frame games on this device and the experience I had is one I would love everybody to have a taste of. Games ran smoothly, fast and without glitches.

Multitasking on the device is perfect.

Camera: Memory keepers, you were also put into consideration. HOT2 is equipped with a 2.0MP front camera and an 8MP back camera. Taking pictures with both revealed great quality of the camera, both at night and during the day.

Battery Life: A lot of us would be bothered about the battery draining faster considering the features it is stocked with, screen size, processor and so on. You should not get yourself worked up about the battery life. After charging it fully, it would last you a day of full usage. What I mean by full usage is basically what we do with our phones, most especially the gamers.

After watching a movie, playing HD games, surfing the web, making phone calls and so on, I still had over 55% power left on the phone after over 12 hours of usage.

If you were having doubts about a phone of so much high specification being stuck with a battery of that kind of capacity, trust me, you have nothing to worry about as the battery would serve you well.
