Hi guys, whats happening with you all. It’s been long since I posted. That is basically because I was writing my exams. Am done with that so am back here. So today we would be looking at the Tecno s5. Another of Tecno Superb phones out there. Yeah this tecno guys have released quite a lot of phones and trust me, we’ve all not seen enough of them. Like it is usually said, probably what we’ve just seen is just the tip of the iceberg. Would be expecting a lot from them this year. So back to the S5. Not really sure when it was launched but I guess it was sometime in December last year. So it aint so stale cause I would be writing some reviews on some stale phones and when I say stale, I really mean stale and am also thinking of a situation where I would not just be based on tecno phones alone but also tech news so be expecting quite a lot from me in the next few weeks. Time to take a dive into the Tecno S5, so get your swimming trunks ready and dive along with me.

 

Design: The S5 comes with a quite moderate sized screen which is about 4.5”. Yeah, that screen size is kind of great for me, it’s not too big and it is neither so small. Also has the normal Tecno buttons round it which are the volume rocker and the power button, both sides. Its dimensions are 135.9*68.8*10.75mm. just looking at the dimensions alone I guess you know it’s kind of small but also big. Not really sure how many colour brands are out there, but am pretty sure it comes in both white and black colours.

Operating System: Like most other Tecno phones released recently, it comes stocked with the Google Android version 4.2.2 which is popularly known as Jelly bean. So BBM, and other high OS demanding applications would run smoothly on this.

Memory: It comes equipped with 4GB of Ram, but like every other phone out there, don’t be expecting it to be complete because of the applications that have already been installed on it from the factory. But as usual no need to entertain fear because it has an expandable microSD card space which can accommodate up to 32GB of microSD card.

It has 512Mb Ram.

Processor: Game lovers always waiting for this part of the phone. Guess what, this phone is not also ready to let you down as it comes with 1.3 GHz Dual core powered by MEDIATEK, yeah like every other Tecno phone out there. It’s quite cool.

Camera: Yeah, the camera, also what some of us really like about a phone. It comes with a dual camera like every other phone, with the rear being equipped with 5.0MP of camera with flash while the front camera is about 1.2MP. So video calls are one thing we really want to try out on this phone.

Battery Life: Since the screen aint that large and does not have all those power consuming features, the phone comes equipped with a battery capacity of 1800mAh. Pretty cool for a phone of this kind of specifications.

Price: Like what Tecno has done with every of their other phones, this phone is also of such a reasonable price. Thumbs up to tecno.

FlappyBird

A lot of us would be wondering why FlappyBird was brought down.
Same down here because I was about downloading it when i found out that it has been removed from the playstore.
The game which has spent close to a year on the stores did not really receive much attention until the beginning of this year. We don't know why but allegations against the owner suggests that he made use of bots to make his game popular. Also it is believed that he was also threatened by Nintendo which mad him pull the game away from the stores because of the pipes in the game look like
So the combination of all this allegations made him pull the game of the store.

those in  their once ever popular 'Super Mario' game pipes, and one more thing, not sure about this though, because i have not played it, it is also said that the creator made the game intentionally hard.

Still would have loved to have it on my phone.

TECNO PHANTOM A3

Am bringing this to you my readers pretty late because I was not aware of when it came out though I was waiting patiently like a dog for it to be launched so you guys can have this first hand review but as it is I am what they call in my country “LAST-MA”. I guess my apology is accepted, with that done, let’s take a look at the latest Tecno smartphone out there. It’s the new Tecno A3. Also in the league of other tecno flagship phones which are the phantoms. So we simply have another phantom device out and it is set to woo you guys. This is quite a big phone and falls in the league of the phablets, guess you all know which set of phones fall in this category and if you do not, then I guess you would fancy the idea of checking out my review on Infinix Alpha. It comes with a 6” screen size and not really much of changes compared to the Phantom A2 but like the name implies it has got some great features which makes the A2 look petit compared to it. So for those of you who are really fascinated about big screen phones, please use your seat belt because am about to take you on a wild ride into the world of the Tecno Phantom A3.

Design: it’s selling point being its screen size is one to talk about, possessing a terrific 6” says it all. So I guess you all know this is way more like a very big phone and the biggest Tecno has produced and would probably be among the world’s largest screen sized phones rocking dimensions of about 160*82*8.9mm. It’s design is also superb, like every other tecno phones, it comes in a rectangular form and has dimensions of about . it comes in  black and white.

Operating System: Some of us would have expected that a phone released just a month after the lunch of the latest android operating system would be stocked with it, but that is not what Tecno is offering us here. Like the Phantom A, the Phantom A3 comes stocked with the android version 4.2, but not to worry it is among the coolest android operating system in town, though would have loved them to stock the phone with something higher.

Memory: This is another talking point of the A3, it comes with an internal memory of 16GB, cool and guess what, it also has a memory card slot unlike most high end phones being produced now, with such massive internal memory, you are pretty sure not to get a memory card slot to expand your memory capacity.

It also comes with 1 GB of RAM. I was expecting this phone to have something much more than this, like about 1.5GB. I don’t really know why they did not stock this phone with that.

Processor: It does not disappoint at this point, it comes with 1.5GHz Quad core processor. Terrific you screamed right. Yeah, all those cool games have met their match most especially when you look at its GPU, this phone is really cool. And am sure lot of us would be looking out to feed on this phone. We all can’t wait to get our hands on it. 

Camera: For those of us who can’t stop admiring what we look like and what other stuffs really mean, and most especially for those of us who have fun going down the memory lane, the A3 camera is what you want to have your hands on. Back camera is 13MP with an autofocus and also LED flashlight, while the front camera is 8MP, so all those video chatting and taking high standard pictures are all taken care of. So if you want all your memory’s to be as fresh as they happening now then, this is a phone for you.

Battery Life: Have not gotten a full review of the battery strength but it is the same kind of battery that powers the A2 that also powers this device. And looking at the A2’s strength and also the screen size and the rate of consumption due to it screen size, I would say they should have had something a little bit above the regular. All the same like I said have not really gotten a full review on the battery strength so let’s still give it a thumbs up. And for battery suckers like me, this device comes with a power bank like other Tecno A phones.

Price: The Tecno Phantom A3 has a reasonably pocket friendly price considering the top tech specifications.

TECNO M3

Tecno mobile like I do always say would stop at nothing surprising their customers and providing the best for them at affordable prices. They are at it again, this time around, the phone is called M3 this phone has got lots of high specs and guess what it is at an affordable rate. Most especially, for those of us that do not like all the big, magnificent, cumbersome phones out there, Tecno mobile have used some kind of telepathic powers to bring out this particular phone and guess what they’ve compacted all those high tech functions into a small device for us. We would be taking a look at the small but mighty Tecno M3 now and like they say in Biology, we would be dissecting it, this is way different from Biology, so don’t be scared because we would not be dealing with blood here.

Design: The design of the M3 is superb, yeah, that is this phone’s selling point. It is really handy and pocket friendly, easy to use, move it around without you feeling anything on you. It is among the few smartphones out there that are not so big and it comes with a screen size of 3.5 inches. Its dimensions are about 115.3*61.2*11.9mm. If you really know what screen sizes mean, I guess you know what this means. It means compared to the phones out there, this one is really small. Like every other Tecno android phones out there it also comes in black and white.

Operating System: Surprisingly, this phone runs on the Google Android Operating 4.2 Jelly Bean version. This is way cool, running the Android Operating system on this super cool phone. So you would have the opportunity of running the latest and coolest applications on your phone, most especially the most used instant messaging application called BBM. Yeah, you can run BBM on this it.

Memory: M3 has an internal memory of 4GB but the bad thing is that only 1GB of this memory is available to the user meaning the operating system and other applications that would come with this phone have taken up all the space. But no need to worry, it comes with microSD slot which makes it expandable to 32G, so dear music and videos, here we come, more like scavengers, lol.

It comes with 512MB of RAM. Really low I guess, but am telling you for a phone this small and for its price it’s a great deal. And don’t get perturbed by the fact that for a high operating system like that to be running on a phone of this kind of low RAM size, this is because the way Google design its operating systems, you can run all this high OS on very low RAM phones.

Processor: This phone comes with a processor of 1.0GHz Dual core. Not what you expected, its quite cool for a phone this compact. Yeah, you would be having troubles with glitching and all stuffs but what are you expecting, even the high end phones do have all this troubles ones in a while. In a world where games require a lot to work, you might be thinking of opting for something else but the phone would run quite a lot of games but not all those high tech games. And for you who do not like playing games on phones, this is the real deal.

Camera: This is one high point about the phone because the phone comes with a primary camera of 5.0MP and a secondary camera of 0.3MP. You might think this is low but trust me the primary camera is way cool because have used it before and it took some nice pictures but for those of you used to the high end phones you would surely decipher the difference. But all the same, the camera is great. And with the aid of the front camera, you can video chat and do all sorts.

Battery Life: M3 comes with 1400mAh Li-Ion battery, which lasts up to 5 hours on talk time. It’s battery life is low I guess but for those of you who do not really use your phones to run lots of applications and all sorts and even for those who run lots of applications on it, no need to worry they power bank is out there to save you.

ROOTING MOTOROLA PHOTON 4G MB855

This article is based on how to root your Motorola mb855 device. I just rooted mine and would also be releasing a video about the rooting online in a couple of days so as to guide you more on the steps to be taken as most people prefer the video to reading.

No need to entertain any fear, your device is going to work right well as well as it has been working before, the only difference is that this time around you have access to more applications because some applications like we all know work on only rooted devices alone. And the down side of this is that it voids your warranty that is all.

The first thing you need to do before you root your device is to download some few drivers, don’t get yourself all tensed about where and how to get the drivers you need because I would be giving out all you need in this article.

Install the Motorola driver on your laptop, it would take a few minutes to install, mine took close to about 5 minutes. So you just have to be patient.

When you plug in your phone, it is going to show installing drivers, please while it is installing the drivers, do not stop it from installation. Till it is done, for windows8 users, it brings out 2 installation pop ups, just leave it for a few minutes, like 5 to 7 minutes before you cancel it.

Once that is done installing, its time to go to your phone,

Place your phone on USB Mass Storage mode, and you transfer superuser and busybox to your phone memory. Unplug your phone and install superuser application.

When you plug in your phone, you put it on Motorola Phone Portal,

Go to settings on your phone

From settings, you click on applications

From applications, you click on development

From development you tick the USB debugging box.

You can then go back to your home screen.

Back to your laptop, go to your torpedo application, the one you extracted onto your laptop, right click on it and run as an administrator.

Follow the instructions, the first part is for you to press any key, the other part is also for you to press any key

After that, the next step is where you have options of

1 for rooting

2 for Unrooting

X for exit

I guess you know what to do, you click on 1 and press enter.

It is going to check for all drivers on your laptop, initially it might not find the drivers, but if you have followed the steps above,  you just continue

It is going to bring out another page, where it is going to show “sending torpedo to phone”

You press enter again, then its going to show a series of code, you copy each line by line until the point of double exit.

As you copy each code, you press enter, for each.

Once you are done with this, it is going to take you to another page, where it is going to show rebooting phone

Once the phone reboots, that means that your phone has been rooted and ready to use.

And after this you should have superuser installed on your phone.

You can then install all those applications that require rooting and your phone is ready to go

Tecno mobile would not stop surprising its customers with its super cool phones it produces. It released the Tecno Phantom A2 sometime ago and it has been making really quite a lot of wave, though it’s not as porpular as its predecessor which is the Tecno Phantom plus, and I guess this is because the Tecno Phantom A2 just has some few upgrades or let me say better specifications compared to the Phantom A plus. So lets take a look at this phone and why it got the name A2.

Design: The Phantom A2 or F8 does not look like the F7 at all, its quite bigger than the F7 and F7+. It possesses a screen size of 5.7 inches which places it in the category of phablets. It has a rectangular design and dimensions of about 160*82*8.9mm. As all other Tecno Phantom phones, this phablet comes in both black and white.

Operating System: A2 runs on the same Android operating system as A+ which is 4.2, yeah, one of the latest operating system, Google’s Android has just got 4.3 and 4.4 operating systems which are higher than the 4.2 version. So you would be getting the best from your phone.

Memory: The Phantom A2 comes with 4GB of internal memory, that’s quite cool and should be able to contain all the applications we would be installing on the phone and if you need additional memory for music, videos and other stuffs, no cause for alarm because it is expandable to 32GB, which simply means it equipped with a memory card slot.

It comes with 1 GB of RAM. The next phone they should be releasing should have something higher, most of their phones are equipped with just 1GB of RAM or less and we have lots of phone which run on something higher.

Processor: Game lovers this is

one point you guys always look forward to and the F8 is not disappointing at all in this area. It comes with 1.2GHz Quad core. Yeah, cool I guess, so your worries have been partially dealt with cause you won’t have your phone glitching all the time. Yeah, I said all the time because there is no way a phone is not going to malfunction at one point or the other but it has been reduced to the minimum by this particular feature of the phone.

Camera: The Phantom A2 gives you something to think about and savour for a very long time. You can keep all those memories in High Definition and also for those of us who really love taking pictures. This is one cool phone a cool camera. It’s comes equipped with a primary camera of 13MP and a secondary camera of 8MP. Yeah, you can close your mouth now.

Battery Life: It comes with a 2630mAh Li-Ion battery. Its battery last up 280 hours on standby while it lasts for just 17 hours on talk time. Like with every other high end phones out there and most especially phablets, you should know that when your phone is on full usage, its battery is going run down pretty faster than you expected. Same thing applies to this phone too and this is majorly because of its screen size, 5.7’’, lot of battery consumption but why worry when you have a mobile bank with you which charges your phone faster than you can ever think of.
